Every year, we offer all staff the opportunity to get the flu vaccination for free because it's an important part of protecting you, your family and patients from the potentially devastating impact of flu.
This winter with Covid-19 still circulating, and the increased risk to life if you are ill with both viruses simultaneously, it's important more than ever that you get your free jab as soon as possible.
As well as protecting you, it's also important that we reduce pressures on our services and ensure that we are able to maintain a safe level of service. This year the Trust has invested in a vaccine which has been shown to offer the most protection against flu. NHS England has also moved to a 90% target of frontline staff being vaccinated.
You can read more about the importance of having the flu jab, how to avoid spreading the flu and signs and symptoms to look out for by visiting Connect.
Due to the ongoing risk of coronavirus, we have had to change the way we offer flu clinics this year to keep everyone safe. Therefore, clinics will be run on an appointment only basis through an online booking system, or locally in your borough with a peer vaccinator.
Here is how you can get your flu jab:
Book an appointment using our new online system, where you will also be able to access the consent form. **Please note, you will have to copy and paste the following link into Google Chrome for it to work: http://bit.ly/flu-onlinebooking
Contact your local peer vaccinator to get your jab (speak to your matron to find out who this is)
